Matsusaka beef : Matsusakagyu Yakiniku M, Osaka
Anyone who knows me knows I’m a big foodie, and visiting Japan definitely satisfy much of that! Two years back, I have made a trip to Kobe to experience the hyped Kobe beef, and the hype was indeed true. This time around, we set our goals to try out Matsusaka – the Japanese black beef, to see if we need a pitstop to Kobe. Boy, we were not disappointed. In fact, it was so great, that we did it twice! We picked Matsusakagyu Yakiniku M, and picked the platters to share. We chose the platter for tasting with 6 different parts that comes with vegetables as well. Firstly, to grill…

Pike place market , Seattle
Pike place is a market with charm from the 80s. Every store around it is a gem, with very authentic and marketplace buzz. I particularly love the Beecher’cheese store, the spice shop, the many fruits and vegetables store, the pasta store, oh my it’s heaven for foodie! I can’t do justice with the amount of things I’ve seen and those that I’ve not had the chance to try out, so I’ll definitely put that on my list for a redo. There are many restaurants and musicians around, enough to make you spend many hours here exploring! #Traveltips : If you really want to go to Starbucks, be sure to…

Boca, authentic Portuguese food | Singapore
I’m a big fan of Portuguese food post our road trip last year. No, I’m not talking about what you eat in Nandos. Like, the really good Portuguese food. I found this gem behind my office by chance, and have been a big fan since. One of my favorite dish, the Octopus leg is done amazingly well, along with many note-worthy appetizers and bar food. The steak with Portuguese sauce was good, along with the main highlight – the Portuguese tart. The Portuguese tarts is to die for, as nice as the one we have had in Belem, the original Pasteis de Belem. Great ambiance, service and wine. Definitely recommended…

Tendon Itsuki | Singapore
Fancy some great tendon ? You don’t have to go all the way to Japan for it! Ginza Tendon Itsuki ; one of the best tempura place I’ve had in Singapore situated at the friendly Tanjong Pagar. There are only 2 mains on their menu, the Specials and the Vegetarian. Specials : 2 juicy chicken breast, 2 big prawns, with assorted vegetables. I think you know what’s in the vegetarian option. The art of eating at this place .. #FoodieTips You have tons of time to queue, otherwise good luck! (Go early, like 11.30am for lunch of 5.30pm for dinner. You would probably make it in time into the…

Enmaru – The Altitude, Jakarta
Japanese food is one of my favorite cuisine in the world, and so when I was at Jakarta for business, I look frantically for it. Enmaru, at The Altitude was full of surprises to my palate, with a great ambiance and affordable price range. One note-worthy dish is their Foie Gras Chawanmushi (~7SGD). It’s tiny but mighty ( literally the size of a shot). The yakiniku was great, and you can’t really go wrong randomly ordering from their menu (this, I’ve learnt)! #TravelTips : I highly recommend making reservations for window seats, so you can enjoy great food and view at the same time. About Enmaru Location :Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta…

A trip down under | Lobster Shack, Cervantes
I LOVE seafood, and even if you don’t (so long you don’t hate it or have nasty allergies!)-you’ll surely love Lobster shack too! Lobster shack was on my list of things to do (EAT), and when I saw that their kitchen was closed due to a fire, I was so disappointed. Stef brought me here anyway to try our luck, and I’m so glad he did! There wasn’t any hot food, but I didn’t mind it at all! The lobsters and shrimps were juicy, fresh and succulent. For AUD 55, we received a full lobster with shrimps, a drink and great dipping sauce. Home Location : 11 Madrid St, Cervantes…

A trip down under | Twilight Hawker’s market
In the evening, we visited the Twilight Hawker’s market. Twilight Hawkers’ market features over 50 stalls (perhaps more?) that does every cuisine and dish imaginable. From Turkish to Thai, Greek to good ol’ burgers and desserts (honey cakes, gourmet marshmallows, gelato, and more!), this place was heavenly! There was live music and the entire space smells incredible with a huge crawl of hungry people. It was definitely worth a visit looking that there is practically nothing to do besides eating out in Perth after 5pm, and we love food (obviously)! #TravelTips : The only issue here is getting a decent place to sit – so be creative (get a mat or something)!…

A trip down under | Ribs and Burgers
It’s impossible to miss even though it could be slightly hidden, especially the long queue during rush hour and dinner time. We went over to the only (correct when I wrote this) Ribs and Burgers place in WA, on William street. We ordered lamb and pork ribs, with a burger to share. The portion was great, and those chips/fries are amazing!! Not much to say, come hungry. Those ribs are tender, juicy and soft enough to fall off the bones. Salad was just to feel less sinful, and the fries are crispy. Burger was good, but if I have to choose, I’ll definitely go for the ribs. Check cheap NFL…
